Meet Dr. Terry Jay Sites

Terry Jay Sites, M.D., is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine, arthroscopy and shoulder and knee reconstruction at his private practice, called Advanced Orthopaedic Specialists, in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Dr. Sites is a respected doctor in his field and has been awarded America's Top Orthopaedic Surgeon Award seven times.

In addition to his practice duties, Dr. Sites also holds hospital staff affiliations at Washington Regional Medical Center, Physician's Specialty Hospital and Mercy Medical Center. Before moving to Arkansas and beginning his own private practice, Dr. Sites practiced at the Sacramento Valley Orthopaedic Center with several other doctors.

Dr. Sites received his medical degree from the University of Missouri Medical School, where he graduated at the top of his class and was recognized as Most Outstanding Medical Graduate. He then completed his general surgery internship at the University of California-San Diego and his residency training in orthopedics at the University of California-Davis. Dr. Sites also completed fellowship training in Orthopedic Research and Biomechanics at the University of California at San Diego, and in Sports Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine.

As an active participant in the medical community, Dr. Sites is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, Arkansas Medical Society and the Arkansas Orthopedic Society. His work has appeared in several publications and presentations throughout his practice history. Dr. Sites also serves as a Team Physician or Orthopedist for local high school and college sports teams.

In his spare time, Dr. Sites enjoys spending time with his wife and four sons, as well as fishing, golfing and gardening. He also volunteers his time as a coach for youth sports, including basketball, baseball and soccer.
